Updated NWS River Outlook
The National Weather Service in Grand Forks released an updated flood outlook for the Red River Valley. According to the new outlook, the Red River at Fargo has a 50% chance of exceeding 38.5ft, and a 20% chance it could exceed 41.2ft (Fargo’s record crest in 40.84 ft in 2009).
Kindred flood meeting announced
The City of Kindred has announced a flood informational meeting will take place February 21 at 7pm at the Kindred High School.
MATBUS offers free rides to sandbagging volunteers
Fargo, ND (February 11, 2011) – Beginning on Monday, February 14, MATBUS will provide free rides for sandbagging and flood relief volunteers (not applicable to Paratransit services). Area residents are encouraged to ride MATBUS to travel to/from a Sandbag Central shuttle sites. This promotion will continue until the flood relief effort is over.
