Oakport Township experienced some problems with its sewer system on the east side of the Oakport Coulee this weekend, although officials know of no homes that experienced sewer backup, Greg Anderson, township chair, said today.
Anderson said plugs had been placed in the sewer line to prevent water from the coulee area from entering the system. Water pressure pushed out the plugs, and some river water did enter the system.
