UPDATE: Road restrictions lifted
The Fargo Police Department is announcing the closure of several roads that will be used for flood truck traffic only. The closures will begin at 6:00 a.m. Friday, March 27. The closures are as follows:
University Dr. from 35th Ave. N. to 40th Ave. S.
10th St. from 13th Ave. S. to 19th Ave. N.
NP Ave. from University Dr. to the river
7th Ave. N. from University Dr. to the river
19th Ave. N. from University Dr. to Elm St.
The North Dakota National Guard will be assisting the Fargo Police Department at significant intersections to ensure the smooth flow of truck traffic and to block civilian traffic from using these roadways. Cross traffic will be allowed in a controlled manner.
The Fargo Police Department is requesting the assistance of the public to ensure these critical roadways are kept open to allow flood fighting efforts to continue as rapidly as possible.

Can I cross the 19th Ave. Broadway intersection going on Broadway?
I wish that someone would post a map showing the roads that are closed down.
Map now on the home page.
In response to the question about crossing 19th, from what I am to understand, there will be police and national guard at the intersections that will act as ‘crossing guards’ so you will be able to cross, but you may have to wait a while at the intersection.
Does anyone know the remaining entry/exit roads in/out of the Osgood area? I know that roads are not entirely closed for long stretches, but just blocked off where neccessary.
Would we be able to get a map that shows blockings like that? (to prepare in case we need to leave before we get boxxed in here)
so if im coming from 24th ave N i can cross those roads to get to the interstate?
Is there a problem getting to the airport?
how do i get to detroit lakes,mn if everything is closed around me? i have 3 small children and need to leave
Cross traffic will be allowed in a controlled manner.
You can cross those roads - but are not to drive on them. They are being manned by police at intersections.
Is I 94 open for east bound interstate traffic?
Is there any chance it would be closed in the next few days? or week?
In order to get to Detroit Lakes, you will need to cross the Memorial Bridge or take I-94 to the highway 52 exit in Moorhead and get on high 10. My family and I left last night and took that route.
IF the dikes were to completely fail, and the biggest wave possible drained out, where is the estimated “worse case scenario” water line expected? In other words, where is safety certain when it comes to the dike breach? (not counting saurated ground or possible sewer damage? Also, is West Fargo okay?
